Very charming place! The garden behind overlooks Danube river. The villa/ house is from 1900, its owner is a very friendly lady and looks after the place and guests. The linen smelled fresh. I would say it could be a bit more pristine in general, but it was clean enough. Lot of steps to take to get inside the building. The surrounding is nice. The castle behind is closed temporarily. Dog-friendly, kid-friendly.

A nice 1900 country house with a feel of “the good old days” and also a view to die for, overlooking the Danube’s picturesque Altarm from a comfortable height. With an apartment on the ground level, we had the bonus of using the lovely backyard, with panoramic access to that view. We got all one can expect from a “Zimmer frei” arrangement and more: the hostess is a very nice lady, creating a friendly atmosphere that made us feel welcome (our dog included) while retaining our privacy. We loved our stay there and would consider coming again.

This place is terrible. The 85 years old grandma can’t maintain the rooms clean anymore. Upon our arrival in the evening , we found shaving foam and hairs in the sink, a dirty toilet seat and unchanged rugs in the bathroom. After complaining the following day, she apologized for not cleaning the bathroom and promised to fix things. Unfortunately , the only thing she changed were the rugs, the rest was still dirty and i had to buy sanitizing wipes to clean the bathroom. We left the place extremely disappointed after sleeping there for two nights, although we had booked three nights. Not to mention that the door from our bathroom didn’t close , the furniture was worn out , and the wifi didn’t work.
The location is beautiful, the garden is well maintained and the villa itself looks very charming at first glance, but unfortunately the rooms are dirty and the furniture is too old .
